Scrabby was about five and a half years old when, in October 2024, he decided that Helping Hands would be his new home. He originally belonged to a neighbour, but decided for himself that life in the open air on the farm made him happier.

For over a year, he was part of a close-knit trio with Popeye and Hope, and it quickly became clear that Scrabby was now the leader of the rambunctious bunch. Today, together with Popeye, Hope, Milele and Sarabi, he forms a strong, close-knit unit.

Scrabby is a strong-willed dog with a commanding presence and a keen sense of his surroundings. At the same time, he is people-oriented and loves every second of attention. He chooses ‘his’ people and forms a particularly close bond with them. His intense nature shows above all how important closeness, trust and a sense of belonging are to him.
